In Silicon Valley, a place full of legends, stories of entrepreneurship from zero to one unfold every day. But few people can truly write history, and Weili Dai is one of them.

As co-founder of Marvell, Weili Dai witnessed and participated in the entire process of the company's growth from a startup to a semiconductor giant worth hundreds of billions of dollars. What's noteworthy is that she didn't stop there, but has transformed in recent years into a key driver in Silicon Valley's semiconductor investment sector, playing an important role in the growth of a series of startups.

From technical engineer to corporate co-founder, from business leader to angel investor, each of Weili Dai's transformations has been perfectly timed with industry development. How did she build her business empire in the highly competitive semiconductor industry? Let's look at her story.

The Entrepreneurial Legend of a Husband-Wife Team

Weili Dai was born in Shanghai, China, and showed talent for science from an early age. During middle school, she immigrated to the United States with her family, settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, and eventually entered UC Berkeley to study computer science.

It was also at Berkeley that she met her life-changing partner, Sehat Sutardja. At that time, Weili Dai was pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, while Sehat Sutardja was a doctoral student in electrical engineering. The two met in the halls of academia, not only finding love but, more importantly, discovering that they both shared the same passion and dedication for technological innovation.
